Climbing the Trekking Peaks

Annapurna | Everest | Langtang | Manaslu | Biking | Rafting | Safari

There are eighteen peaks which have been designated Trekking Peaks by the Nepalese government ranging in altitude from about 5500m to 6500m. The name is something of a misnomer and only means that the procedure for obtaining a climbing permit has been simplified. The climbs are more technical than the name implies and all require the use of ropes, ice axes and crampons. Our programme includes seven of these peaks, and all have been chosen as they offer sufficient challenge whilst not being out of the reach of the less experienced climber.

We maintain a store of six full sets of climbing equipment (excluding boots) in Kathmandu and these are available for the use of our clients without extra charge.
